Review: Rise of the Planet of the Apes


Last night we had the wonderful pleasure of seeing "Rise of the Planet of the Apes".  Since 1968 when, based on a novel by Pierre Boulle, the original "Planet of the Apes" was released (starring Charlton Heston) we have been wondering - how did the apes come to rule this planet?  Well, last night, all was answered in a magical, wonderful, action-packed and beautiful film.

Although James Franco and the gorgeous Freida Pinto are excellent, the non-human primates steal the show. Their expressions are wonderful. They demand our affection, our curiosity and our attention.

Read all about the way the actors who played the simian stars made it look so real with thismotion-capture technology. You MUST see this film on the big screen to enjoy it.  It will make you laugh, cry, wonder, appreciate and love the art of making a movie.  Enjoy the trailer below:
